This notice explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It covers the website only.
Who is responsible
Papillon Marketing, the trading name of Jacqueline Thorley EI (SIREN 130 778 392, Grasse, France), is the data controller for this website. You can reach us at jacqueline@papillonmarketing.net.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Data protection law asks for a lawful basis for each purpose. There are two here.
Your enquiry: legitimate interests. If you write to us, we hold what you sent so that we can answer you and carry out any work that follows. Answering an enquiry someone chose to send is what they expect, and it does not override anyone's rights.
Analytics: consent. Nothing is measured unless you accept it, and you can withdraw at any time using the button below.
What is collected
When you use the enquiry form. Your name, email address, company name, the service you selected and the message you write. This is processed so that we can reply to you, which is the only reason it is asked for. The form is handled by Netlify, who host this website.
When you email, call or message. Whatever you send, kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows.
Analytics, and only if you accept it. Statistics about page visits, using Google Analytics. It measures which pages get read and where visitors arrive from. It does not collect your name, your email address or anything else you have not typed into the form, and we cannot use it to work out who you are. It does assign your browser a random identifier so that repeat visits can be counted once, which is why it needs your permission. Your IP address is masked by Google Analytics before it is stored.

Nothing is loaded until you choose. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, this website does not contact Google at all and no analytics cookie is set. You can change your mind at any time:
What is not collected
No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no profiling, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing purposes. Fonts are served from this website rather than a third party, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you did. Your analytics choice is remembered in your own browser's local storage, which never leaves your device.
Where it goes
Two companies process data on our behalf, and both are based in the United States. Netlify hosts this website and handles the enquiry form. Google provides Analytics, if you accept it. Both are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which is the arrangement the European Commission recognises as giving personal data an adequate level of protection when it travels to the United States.
Nothing is sold, and nothing is passed to anyone else for their own purposes.
How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept while there is an active conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back. Analytics data is kept for 14 months and then deleted by Google automatically. Ask and anything about you will be deleted sooner.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to processing, or ask for it to be transferred elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent, as we do for analytics, you can withdraw it whenever you like and it is as easy to withdraw as it was to give: use the button above. Withdrawing does not undo anything that happened before you did it.
Email jacqueline@papillonmarketing.net and it will be dealt with within one month. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to a data protection authority. Ours is the CNIL in France (cnil.fr), and you can also complain to the authority in your own country.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
